 Dokuz Eylul University - Department of Textile Engineering, Master Thesis titled “Investigation of the Effect of Antifouling Processes Applied on Fish Nets Produced from Different Raw Materials”  Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) under grant 118M793. Comparing the performance of the biological fouling prevention treatments applied to different net raw materials used in cage fishing and to raise awareness in the sector with the help of the data to be obtained. Aquaculture and technical textile materials used in this sector is an important research area both economically and scientifically.  Prevent biological contamination that occurs over time in textile-based cage nets used in aquaculture. This process is repeated in the form of removing the nets, cleaning and coating with anti-fouling paints at certain periods according to the contamination times of the nets. This increases production costs. The cage net materials are coated with antifouling paints and chemicals that prevent biological fouling. Minimizing the fouling of the nets by treating them with eco-friendly antifouling paints is an approach that will bring both environmental and economic gains.  The results obtained within the scope of the project were presented at the ICONTEX (International Congress of Innovative Textiles) international meeting and shared with various researchers.  This study was selected by the congress organizing committee and published as a "full template" in the Coloration Technology (impact factor 1,241) journal within the scope of SCI.obtained. Aquaculture is also a developed sector in our country and is an important export item Eco-friendly antifouling paint developed within the scope of the project, there is a potential for commercial use of the paint and obtaining a patent for the formulation.
