I worked at Department of Chemistry at the Technical University of Denmark for 2½ years as a polymer specialist researching and developing stronger polybenzimidazole (PBI) membranes for new PEM Fuel Cells.By use of mathematical modeling to determine the structure of the macromolecules and by a large number of test series I proved that under specific conditions it is possible to dissolve and carry out size exclusion chromatography analysis of PBI by use of analysis columns produced for the purpose of fractionating biomolecules. Thus, making the previous and unreliable analysis method (viscometry) obsolete, I was able to develop and verify new branched PBI variants for improved membrane strength.I am very interested in research and development of new polymers in a dynamic group in the polymer business.I have more than 1.800 hours of laboratory experience at DTU and more than 720 hours of laboratory experience from my employment at Haldor Topsøe A/S.I often voice my opinion at conferences and in the Danish media as to how we should face the global energy crisis.
