I've been working in healthcare since 2011, beginning as a CNA in Day Surgery at the age of 17. I chose Bellin College to pursue my BSN and made the best of my wonderful four years there. I became president of both the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, Bellin College Chapter and Bellin College Ambassadors club. I was also an active member in many other clubs, outlined in my profile below, and volunteered regularly within the healthcare field. In 2016 I was selected as one of 53 students out of 1,000 applicants to become a nurse extern at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for the summer of 2016. There I worked alongside some of the nations most incredible physicans and nurses, caring for patients from all over the world. Toward the end of my education, I applied as a nurse extern to the Neurosurgical ICU at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. I began working there in April of 2017, transitioned into a Graduate Nurse and then a Registered Nurse on the unit. I worked as the Magnet Champion for my unit, was an adjunct member of the Area Coordinating Council and took on the position of charge nurse. In 2018, I moved to NYC and began working in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell. I then joined unit council, got my CCRN certification and became charge nurse in 2019. Nursing is truly my passion and I am dedicated to advancing my knowledge in this amazing field.
