From coding AIM profiles for fun as a young girl to now working on applications and live websites, I've always had a passion for web development and software engineering. I'm a General Assembly Software Engineer Immersive graduate as I have successfully demonstrated my abilities with multiple programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, Express, MongoDB, Python, and Django. With my background in special education and skills as a software engineer, I hope to one day help develop technology to improve the educational experience for students in special education. I have worked with several students in the past and I have noticed how educational technology is not so "user-friendly" for this specific population and it is my desire to change that one day. Until then, I see myself in either a start-up or organization within the greater Austin area that values teamwork with a positive atmosphere and where I can also grow as a software engineer.
