As the Business Development and Marketing Associate I balanced my time between business development opportunities and marketing communications and projects. These tasks included managing schedules, timelines and deliverables to meet RFP and proposal deadlines, working across all four practice areas within the company to maintain a cohesive brand and strategy, creating and formatting final deliverables and presentations, and working with the Marketing Manager on internal and external communications, website design and updates, social media content, calendars and managing our accounts.

As a resource coordinator I managed 60 collegiate chapters in their daily operations and ensured they were in compliance of fraternity standards of operation. I analyzed reports regarding organizational performance, including membership intake, collections, and training. I counseled more than 450 officers on organizational issues, such as event ideas, best practices, and recruitment. I managed probation and guidance terms for over 10 chapters. I worked with and maintained relationships with over 75 volunteers in my area. I recruited over 40 students and established and trained a chapter that has now grown to 80 members. I was the lead in drafting different emails sent from the student services department. I also designed multiple presentations for different training for the student members in the organization and provided on-site staff support at three fraternity-sponsored events.

Indianapolis, Indiana Area

As the marketing intern, I designed over 40 brochures and ticket inserts for both Major League Soccer and International Motor Sports Association teams and events. I also assembled, packed, and shipped over 1,000 suite bag gifts to locations all across the country. Both of these tasks involved strict deadlines that I was required to meet. I followed up with both sales reps and their clients to ensure they were satisfied with their tickets and the events they attended. I was in charge of the operations of giveaways for the soccer games, which included selecting a winner, drafting emails about the giveaway, and shipping the prizes. I was in charge of watching after event videos for the racers' endorsement deals. I also co-hosted two racing event suites with over 40 guests in Detroit and Indianapolis. This included client relations, tours of the event site, giveaways, and I handed out post-event hats to the drivers for interviews. I was also apart of the set-up and tear down of the promotions truck on-site for these events.

Muncie, Indiana Area

My student caller position entailed working in a fast paced environment where I called Ball State alumni requesting donations for the university. This job required being able to overcome multiple objections and sell reasons as to why the alumni should give back to the university. An important part of this position was building relationships with the person and figuring out ways to relate to them. I also had to multi-task in this position, which included carrying on a conversation, utilizing Sallie Mae's credit card system, and logging the calls. For this position, we were always working towards goals set by our supervisor, including both monetary and number of donations per shift.
