Provided security to a hospital district, which included the main 582 bed hospital, trauma center, psychiatric emergency center and multiple off-site clinics throughout the county. Worked assigned post, mobile patrol or special assignments as needed. Posts included security screening of those entering into the emergency room, and a security desk where we could monitor patients as they were discharged to ensure they could leave. Some calls for service included escorting people to and from the hospital, door unlocks, traffic control, medical emergencies, maintenance and safety issues which were then reported to the appropriate department. Calls for service requiring police/security intervention were handled according to department and hospital policy, including use of force situations. Calls included, patients/visitors being aggressive with staff or each other, patients under legal holds such as mental health warrants or those in law enforcement custody trying to leave the facility, people refusing to leave, etc. Wrote reports as needed.

Was responsible for preventing loss and controlling shrink to assigned stores in the DFW Metroplex by conducting physical surveillance, utilizing CCTV and when necessary, apprehend customers committing theft at the store levels while following company policy and applicable, state or local laws.
