Support the community management functions for RTD's online presence and act as an ambassador for the organization. Monitor in real-time, listen and respond to customers, news media, agency partners and other stakeholders on social channels. Participate in public conversations, answer direct questions, correct misinformation and address problems quickly as they arise. Report feedback themes and escalate breaking stories and urgent issues to management and appropriate staff. Monitor bus and rail operations to relay emergency notifications and operational status to RTD’s communications tools, including Rider Alerts, social media platforms, and website, for unscheduled/unplanned delays, crisis situations, service interruptions, and other events. Monitor customer communication channels in a fast-paced environment, where information changes rapidly, to ensure information is current and correct. Receive, interpret, and produce information and Rider Alerts regarding planned incidents and activities that will have an impact on RTD's services. Utilize a variety of computer software systems and tools to provide effective communication to RTD staff and the public. Produce, edit, and curate service-related content for digital channels. Coordinate with internal departments to plan the organization’s communication strategy and ensure an accurate and consistent message. Advocate for RTD's customers, working closely with Communications, Safety and Security, Transportation, Service Development, Accessibility, Maintenance, IT and other departments to pursue increased communication of information to external and internal audiences. Assist Marketing, Public Relations, and Customer Care staff with messaging and information. Foster positive relations with the agency's Bus and Rail Transportation Divisions, Contractors, and Communications staff.
