Accomplished Architect, Entrepreneur, and Project Manager. Curious, ambitious, and growth-minded, I'm always looking to expand my skills and solve problems. Pursuing the intersection of design, construction and technology to solve our nationwide housing shortage and build better, faster. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from a top 5 architecture program, I pursued a passion for design, fabrication, and technology through work at the San Luis Obispo Makerspace. In addition to managing shop infrastructure projects and developing curriculum, I used the tools to complete multiple contracts for part production, furniture, & interior. An urge to increase scale and complexity brought me to New York City in 2013. Through 7 years at Leroy Street Studio, I grew into an experienced architect and team leader. Much of that experience was characterized by the design, documentation, and construction of a 30,000 square foot ground up residence in the West Village. Responsible for coordinating more than $20M in scope with over 15 external stakeholders, I helped deliver masonry, windows, building envelope, metal facade, skylights, and museum-standard MEP systems. In an effort to continue developing my skills and reach, I developed a product to solve a consistent pain-point in high-end residential design: outlets. Flushtek is a patent-pending template system for everyday homeowners to achieve flush outlets with standard parts and basic tools—drastically reducing the time and cost associated with this detail. Managing the entire operation on my own, the idea was profitable in it's first year, and has grown to product six-digit yearly revenue. Continuing to work with Leroy Street Studio, I transitioned to freelance in 2021, which has allowed me to complete multiple other projects independently. In 2022 I completed the full gut-renovation of a Manhattan apartment as the Architect of Record, overcoming late client changes, planning resubmission, and owner-builder contract mediation. I continue to design and detail furniture for Todd Higuchi Designs, responsible for concept, presentation, and shops drawings. I have also completed multiple contracts for private clients, consulting for exterior remediation, real estate, and ADUs.I remain passionate about building and I'm inspired to continue improving the industry. If you have a project that fits my experience, please reach out!
