* Assisted multiple clients in evaluating TEFCA and determine how they should approach this new evolving initiative.*Advises clients to support compliance with the CMS Patient Access and Interoperability Final Rule including the hospital notification requirements and payer requirements.*Performs environmental scans, develops literature reviews and strategic reports on health IT and interoperability topics for health system, health information exchange, and government clients. *Provides MACRA and Meaningful Use support to a large health system.*Researched and developed a standards measurement framework for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC).* Provides policy and strategy consulting support to HIEs including supporting the development of the MN-EAS policies and governance approach.*Provides regulatory interpretation to clients and identifies strategic opportunities to respond to new regulatory requirements.

*As Challenge Grant Director, managed a $16 million dollar grant program awarded across eight states. Grants focused on solving forward-looking HIT policy and standards implementation challenges. *Assisted in the development and implementation of ONC’s health information exchange (HIE) governance strategy. This included creating and overseeing the Exemplar HIE Governance Funding Opportunity Announcement which enabled ONC to work with two existing HIE governance entities to advance interoperability.*Supported various workgroups of the Health Information Technology Policy Committee including the Information Exchange Workgroup and the JASON Task Force as they developed key policy recommendations on a range of topics from Meaningful Use Stage 3 to provider directories.

*Served as the Project Officer for the State Health Policy Consortium which worked to enable interstate exchange of health information by addressing key policy issues, including privacy and security.*Worked collaboratively with ONC staff to implement provisions of HITECH, including the interim final regulation on standards, certification criteria and implementation specifications for electronic health records.* Monitored, analyzed and evaluated policy and legislation impacting health information technology and provides recommendations to align with ONC objectives.* Monitored and analyzed state legislation, with respect to policy issues, including those related to privacy and security, that could impact health information technology adoption.
