Worked directly with CTOs and Chief Architects to offer solutions to monitor and optimize the Hadoop server cluster. Discussed current conditions of Linux OS and distribution of Hadoop for compatibility and assessment of system needs.

Managed 30 Virtual Machines running Windows and Linux to offer an online testing software to all the teachers throughout UTAH. Expected to keep server downtime managed 24/7 via on call cell and laptop. Also managed customer requests to the software helpdesk via email. Managed a team of developers for security patches and new database development as requests were approved through management chain. Worked closely with the Director of Assessment to offer support for publicly recorded meetings held monthly.

Maintained 100 PCs for local office users and all the software on them including Microsoft Windows and Office and a few in house applications. Responsible for Meridian phone system and Windows Active Directory server. Supported the local wired/wireless networks as well as security policy for all users. Created automated reports for the local database using MySQL. Also responsible for sending and receiving files between SFTP servers using Linux command line.

Maintained over 10,000 computers with their computer issues through an internal (HEAT) ticket system. Directly managed imaging and deployment of PC's for all the service centers across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. In addition to support responsibilities, was also in charge of managing cost benefits analysis related to upgrading or maintaining the current system standards. Worked closely with Network, Server, and Security department managers to ensure quality control over all end users during upgrades and changes to company wide systems.

Answered incoming calls to support PCS (Private Client Services) Division computers, failing hardware issues, software problems, networks, scanners and printers. Worked on a help desk team that supported over 530 software applications plus the active directory line of tools and services. Was awarded 8 ‘best shot’ awards including 2 ‘team best shot’ awards for excellent customer service.
