Experienced Research Scientist with a PhD in Computing from Imperial College London.Engineering Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the industry. Przemek is a Post-Doc Researcher and developer of Virtual and Augmented Reality Simulation Software. He graduated from Imperial College London in 2010 with MSc in Advanced Computing. Between 2011 – 2016 he was as a researcher at the Department of Surgery and Cancer, Imperial College. His focus was on development and validation of virtual reality medical simulators which help surgeons to gain their operative skills in a computer environment, without patient-safety issues or ethical concerns. In 2016, he defended his PhD thesis on “Modelling and simulation of flexible instruments for Minimally Invasive Surgery in Virtual Reality”. After that, Przemek moved from UK to Germany to gain practical experience in the industry at the R&D Department of Volkswagen Group. He was a member of newly established Virtual Engineering Lab, which was at the forefront of digital transformation of the whole Konzern. His task was to ideate, develop and deploy virtual and augmented reality software for new car development, which disrupted traditional car development processes.In 2018 Przemek moved to Poland where he established KRN Labs – a start-up company specializing in VR/AR simulation software development. In 2021 he joined Sano – a research centre for computational medicine – as Head of VR.
