I graduated in December 2001 with a Bachelor in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and continued my studies there obtaining in June 2003 an MSc in “Environmental Physics” and in 2021 I obtained my MBA diploma. Since 2003 I have worked in the private and public sector where my key role was to provide technical management of European funded projects in the fields of Sustainable Waste Management and recycling, Climate Change, Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Public Procurement, conduction of Environmental Impact Assessment and Sustainable Solid Waste Management Studies, ad-hoc support to the respective municipal departments of Environmental and Energy Projects i.e. participation in deliverables developments and provision of technical consultancy in Local and Regional Authorities in the fields of Sustainable Waste Management and recycling, Climate Change, Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Public Procurement.From 2015 to 2019, I was the Deputy Chief Resilience Officer (deputy CRO) at the city of Athens with the following key roles: (1) implementation of the Athens Resilience Strategy; (2) development of the Natural Capital Financing Facility of the European Investment Bank (NCFF); (3) coordination of the Lecabetus Programme: the present and the future of the urban forestry and; (4) the project management of EU funded projects on Urban heat island and water treatment. Currently I am working as senior EU projects manager and as external senior Energy and Climate Change technical consultant for the public sector and local authorities. My working experience have further developed my communication and networking skills with local authorities, while given me the chance to interact with stakeholders from different origins & backgrounds, collaborate with international organisations, NGOs and the public sector. I have acquired a thorough knowledge in developing, implementing and managing project contracts, delivering reports, draft yearly budgets, organize workshops, events and training courses tailored maid for local governments and cities.
