London based filmmaker Kostis is part of the official video-production team of some of the world’s biggest festivals and awards for the creative and marketing communications, entertainment, design, tech and financial industries, such as Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and Money 20/20. His clients in the corporate sector include, amongst others, Renault Sport F1, Tesco Charity Partnership, Hyundai, Santander, Royal Society, Miller Insurance, The Photography Show and Imperial College London.His directorial work includes films for renowned Formula One teams such as Renault Sport. He created films for large-scale open-air cultural events, such as ‘Ulmer Oratorium’, which celebrated the 125th anniversary of Ulm Minster, the tallest church in the world. His documentary Hints of Life, which focuses on the work of award-winning photographer Rebecca Bathory, premiered at the architecturally acclaimed Stratford Picturehouse in early 2017. Sound of Vladivostok, the latest project that Kostis has filmed and edited, has won the Grand Prix “Silver Archer” of the Far East and received international publicity by media such as Deutsche Welle and CNN, who described it as ‘an exceptional musical work of great importance’. The same project took place in Kyoto in late 2018/2019 and Kostis has been invited to film it. His work as a cinematographer awarded Kostis sponsorships by world-leading camera manufacturing companies such as Sony Professional Europe and he is also the official ambassador of the Italian innovative company De Sisti.His photography work has been recognized by features in exhibitions such as Lost in Music. The exhibition was characterized by The Guardian as ‘the definitive document of club culture – a photography archive that unites legends from behind the lens and behind the decks’.
