After a period of being unable to work due to burn out I have recovered but for me it was impossible to combine the present function in combination with the commute to Den Bosch. I am now part of the mobilitycentre of Esent and am looking for a suitable job in the south of the Netherlands. Started as Operations manager responsible for the operations of the ICT infrastructure of Nutsbedrijven Maastricht and after one year due to internal restructuring of the organisation accepted the position as ICT project manager responsible for major internal infrastructure projects.Examples of successful projects are:• Migration of all Unix hardware from outsourced operations back to operations within the Nutsbedrijven Maastricht organisation.• Implementation of 2 separate IT operations rooms with a full fall back Unix infrastructure consisting of 2 Sun V880 systems and 2 Sun A5200 disk arrays, and reallocating all server components to these new ICT operations rooms.• Redesign and implementing the infrastructure for the critical energy management systems of Nutsbedrijven Maastricht.• Migration of the complete IT-Infrastructure from Windows NT towards Windows 2000/2003 server, Windows XP professional workstations and migrating from MS office 97 towards MS Office 2003. Including migrating all software and implementing a central operations environment.• Implementing a Content Management Server as a base for the new intranet of Nutsbedrijven Maastricht.• (Current project) Development of a web shop for all products of Nutsbedrijven Maastricht and restructuring of the service delivery processes involved.

At Philips Display Components Eindhoven employed by Origin as Interim Service Manager. During this period a major project was executed in which the complete PC, Server and network where renewed. My responsibility was keeping the services up and running during the roll-out. I participated in the development of the new Philips DCE service level. This had to provide for the tender Philips set out to service the new Philips Common Desktop Environment to be implemented globally within Philips. As operational manager I had to evolve the local Origin team (30 staff) for Philips Display Components Europe from contractors towards service providers that would operate on a service level basis. The SLA eventually provided following services: Helpdesk; Field support; distributed systems management, SW distribution, Network (LAN and WAN), and several localisation’s such as Unix, Mail and Philips DCE Applications. Assigned to Philips Lighting (under Origin contract). Re-organisation of the local support crew of Origin for Philips Lighting (20 staff) who where responsible for operations of the PC’s, PC-servers, Network and Unix environment. (1200 seats in the main office and 800 seats in several Dutch based offices)
