During this time Anand was a very important member of the System Validation Test group for the AGM Power Line Sensor that Aclara had just purchased from Tollgrade Communications. Aclara had a need to develop a fully portable demo unit that could be used to perform live demonstrations to potential customers. Anand was a very critical part of this task, spending countless hours providing user instructions and very detailed technical explanations of the inner workings of the multiple sensors and head-end software. More importantly, he took the initiative to develop a method for combining several different software components. Each of the different parts are designed to run separately on distributed computers, however Anand created a way to run all the components on a single compact PC. This innovative software solution was combined with a hardware fixture that I developed, and the resulting demo unit was a tremendous success. Anand personally took the demo unit to three separate customer facing events around the country, and successfully demonstrated sensors for dozens of customers and answered detailed technical and sales questions. Anand was one of only a few people to really understand how the entire AGM system works. Not only has he developed and executed large numbers of test cases on all parts of the system, and worked with developers find the root cause of issues, but he has personally presented the system to numerous customers. In the short time that the demo unit has been available, Anand’s customer presentations have directly resulting in several sales leads. His energy, work ethic, and expertise are excellent, and working with him has been a genuine pleasure.
