Kevin Foster O’Donnell has worked in the retail and hospitality industry for over thirty years, championing cutting edge design, carefully integrated architecture and graphic environments, creative brand development, insightful business strategy, inventive conceptual approaches and innovative use of materials and production methods. He has revolutionized how customers experience food retail through key projects for Tesco’s Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, Whole Foods Market, The Kroger Co., Wegmans, Emart's PK Market, Vintage Grocers, New Leaf Community Markets and many more. His projects have won numerous awards and have been featured in national and international publications.Kevin is co-founder of Thread Collaborative, a retail design studio with offices in Los Angeles, California and Austin, Texas focusing on integrated retail store environments for national and international clients throughout the United States, with additional projects in Canada and South Korea.A seasoned and skilled presenter, Kevin has led educational sessions from local, regional, and national platforms in the United States and Canada, including American Institute of Architecture (AIA) and American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) National Conventions; regional shows such as NeoCon Xpress and NeoCon Canada; and state conventions such AIA Miami, AIA Alaska, and MOBIUS LA. He has also been an educator at Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), Woodbury University, University of NC Charlotte, and UCLA Extension. Kevin’s artistic pursuits, comprised of conceptual and experimental drawings and models, have been exhibited in individual and group shows including a 2008 gallery exhibit at The Bartlett School of Architecture in London. His work is in private collections and in the permanent collection of Architecture and Design at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
