Data AnalystRefah Kargaran Brokerage Mar 2014 - Jul 2016After some experiences in the stock market, I required to have new challenge in my job world. That is why I started data analyst position in Refah Bank Brokerage Mutual Funds. The biggest challenge was gathering data from various data sources. We used Python API to get online stock price from Tehran Security Exchange, then collected other data like commodities using web scrapping. I used to excel to join these two kinds of data with historical data. Finally, I wrangled them, analysis and visualize report. Also, I used Python to perform statistical analysis and A/B testing to compare industries in stock market.Joining extracted data from sources with historical data using excel was not feasible and fast-paced match. I motivated to find better solution. That is why I recommended to use SQL for joining extracted data with historical data and manipulation them. After using SQL, we got varieties reports in SQL by window function and stored procedures. SQL helped our company to accelerate and automate getting report.
