My goal in all that I do is to further the Kingdom of God. In the different communities that I am involved with, I am intentional with the people that I spend time with and want to make them feel valued and that they are important. I follow a living God who loves me unconditionally and the least I can do is try my best to love and serve those that are around me, learning how to do that in the context that I get to serve. As I see the world around me and the people that surround me—my family, friends, coworkers, people that I encounter in a grocery store or a coffee shop, etc.—I not only want to leave an imprint, if only for a moment, but I also find that I want to know more. I want to hear their stories and ask the hard questions and learn what makes someone tick, what makes them form the opinions or thoughts or beliefs that they have - and sometimes getting to be part of the questioning or the messy unravelling. I prioritize clear boundaries, open communication, and a level work-life balance. I thrive in stability and structure at home and at work, allowing space for spontaneity in my social life. I want to be available for the hard conversations and the hard work, while also having the time and space to be available to the God that I serve. Most importantly, I seek joyful moments in each and every day, remembering to write them down to be able to look back in memoriam and in even greater joy.My heart is to work somewhere that I love and I hope to do that as I take on more responsibility with age and more experience with life in general.
