- Synthesized and characterized water soluble polyarylates as adhesives in dental care.- Synthesis of polycarbonates for embolotherapy microbeads.

Design and Synthesis of Novel Polymeric Materials for Biomedical Applications• Designed, synthesized, and characterized novel polymeric biomaterials, including biodegradable polycarbonates and polyesters for use in orthopedic applications.• Evaluated the structure-property-functional relationships of a synthesized polymeric materials with desired mechanical and chemical properties.• Developed novel polymer series for 3D printing. The printable tissue engineering scaffolds can be functionalized via standard “click chemistry” reactions.

- Research directed towards synthesizing biologically relevant structural/functional mimics of the active site of the enzyme 'Superoxide Reductase'. Synthesis and characterization of N4 planar ligands with focus on exogenously bound thiolate donor to Fe(II) site.- Synthesis of cobalt(II) nitrosyl species based on non-macrocyclic pyrrole donor ligand as a possible HNO donor.- Extensive structural and spectroscopic studies on eight-coordinate iron and manganese complexes. Studies in the use of eight coordinate manganese complexes as MRI contrast agents.
