• Play a leading role in the promotion of a QHSE culture as a H&S coordinator by ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with ISO 45001’s requirements and guidelines.• Contributed in the procurement process of the plant’s fundamental equipment such as induction furnaces, IGBT inverters, casting machine and wet type scrubbers which were evaluated at 1.5mil euros. This involved technical research over a wide range of machinery,quotations evaluation, negotiation and discussion with manufacturers to increase cost effectiveness and international travelling for equipment condition assessment.• Provided technical engineering support and supervision to installation teams during equipment commissioning. This involved rigging, installation,start-up, testing and monitoring by analysing data to ensure the machine meets the desired requirements.• Liaising with government and collaborated with architects, mechanical, electrical and civil engineers, contractors, consultants and researchers to develop best practises, optimizing general arrangements while maintaining strong ongoing relationship with them.• Assisting senior engineers and the project manager in executive decision-making for the plant’s design, erection, optimization of the production line and cost-saving strategies.• Contributing to technical meetings, evaluating commissioning risks of the new plant and providing engineering input and support to project manager and senior engineers.• Shadowed the Project Manager during the renovation and construction phase of a 4000m² structure that was going to host the 4.2MW aluminium production plant. Learnt how to professionally chair weekly progress meetings, circulate MOM, update action trackers, and daily site progress visits.• Responsible to harmonise all the plant’s processes with the relevant environmental European laws. With the guidance of a competent consultant, Environmental, Industrial Emissions and Waste management licences were achieved.
