Navigation Guidance and Control Department:Directed a multidisciplinary team of engineers to design and test algorithms, telemetry, embedded software, and simulation for a prototype hypersonic boost-glide navigation, guidance, and control subsystem. Authored Software Quality Assurance Plan, Software Qualification Plan, Software Maintenance Procedure, Software Build Records, Software Requirements, Test Plans, Test Procedures, Test Results, interface control documents, Software Development Plan, and Software Change Control Board Process. Directed a team of 3 subject matter experts to demonstrate Model-Based Design (MBD) and auto-generated code for FPGAs using Math Works’ Simulink, Fixed Point Designer, HDL Coder, and report generator. Authored MBD Standards document, auto-generated documentation, and monthly status reports. • Presented technical briefs at System Requirement Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, Flight Readiness Reviews, and Technical Interchange Meetings. Enhanced the development of auto-generated code and documentation for navigation, guidance, and control subsystems.

Navigation Guidance and Control Department:Designed and delivered model-based design software-in-the-loop (SWIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulations for rocket, missile, and hypersonic flight test activities using Mathworks Simulink. Authored scope, schedule, and budget for simulation activities. Delivered embedded software testing results. Expanded the adoption of Mathworks’ MATLAB and Simulink for simulation and algorithm development.

Delivered command module launch abort system model validation and analysis using POSTII Delivered launch vehicle (Ares 1-X) range safety linear error analysis and Monte Carlo trajectory analysis using POSTII. Delivered command module ocean landing Monte Carlo simulations using MSC ADAMS and MATLAB. Conducted simulation comparison activities jointly with NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, NASA Langley Research Center, and NASA Johnson Space Center.
