Keane Ong is a PhD candidate at the NUS Asian Institute of Digital Finance under the Digital Fintech program. He received his Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from NUS in 2023, where he was part of both the engineering scholars and university scholars programs, and was awarded the Sung Kah Kay Memorial Prize for best student in scholarship and academic excellence. During his undergraduate studies, he cultivated a strong interest in AI for financial applications, which continues to drive his current research in explainable AI, natural language processing, and sustainable finance.Outside of his academic work, Keane enjoys playing soccer, hiking, and traveling, always seeking new experiences and staying active.
