Simon is a macro-perspective shipping management with diverse skill set and in depth industrial experience. Simon brings with him a 20 years of drybulk experience; freight trading, chartering and ship/cargo operations.Born in Taipei, R.O.C. (Taiwan), he moved to Singapore in 2012 and presently a PR.He is now the Senior Manager of NOVA Carrier (shipping arm of RGEI group). Responsible for the dry portfolio of NOVA, he oversees the operation of 20 vessels and moving 10 Mtons of goods on an annual basis.Prior to NOVA, he was with Duferco (Singapore) for 5 years, and was responsible for Duferco's Asian supply chain and contributed to Duferco's growth in Asia-Pacific. And before joining Duferco, he had a short stint with Cargill Ocean Transportation, Singapore office, as Senior Handy Chartering Trader.Prior to Simon's career in Singapore, he was with Harmony Transportation, a shipping company specialized in general and project cargoes. He was with the company for 10 years and the last position he held was Senior Chartering ManagerHe holds a LL.M. in Maritime study (2011) from National Taiwan Ocean University - Institute of the Law of the Sea, and completed his Masters in Business Administration (2016) from Nanyang Technological University - Nanyang Business School.With the backing of Legal and Business Management training, his focus is in Freight and Ship management.
