This was the first ever installation of SIPRNET on such a large scale non-Government facility. Deployed first-ever integrated Windows NT and UNIX GCCS architecture at JHU/APL enabling maximum mission capability and minimized support costs..1992-96: Space Systems Engineering: Founding member and Leader of the Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) Integrated Management Systems (DIMS) Satellite control system project, conceived at JHU/APL and now serving as the foundation for DSCS control. Developed program plan, VAX/VMS & Oracle software architecture, and hiring strategy for the program foundation in 1992 that set the stage for a 15 year effort that transformed DSCS control system, dramatically reducing costs and increasing mission effectiveness.
