Wrote and received USAID grants for, and managed the construction of, two gabion basket sea walls (150m and 315m) to reduce impact of shoreline erosion and flooding in two coastal villages.Established and monitored the progress of 9 egg-laying chicken farms and onehatchery on Moala island by securing grant funding to sponsor members of 6 villagesto attend a workshop in which attendees learned sustainable livestock managementmethods.Organizing a weeklong camp for approximately 35 youth ages 16-24 on climatechange science, food security, resilient agriculture, disaster preparedness, genderequality, healthy relationships, and family planning.Coordinated distribution of seeds and educational resources from the NationalFood & Nutrition Centre to help start 20 household vegetable gardens in thevillage, where seeds for purchase are inaccessible.Developed and presented lessons to several remote island communities and schoolson projected climate change effects in the South Pacific, detailing adaptation andresiliency strategies.Taught computer skills classes and organized a successful request for sponsorshipfor 10 new laptop computers for the school.
