I am a City & Regional Planning student at Cal Poly SLO with a minor in environmental studies. I plan to use my passion for studying and preserving the environment alongside my desire to plan cities to be able to shape healthier and happier cities for generations to come. I am involved in clubs and programs at Cal Poly SLO that help to enhance my knowledge in these fields and better prepare me for the work I would like to pursue in my desired career as an environmental planner.This year, I am a part of the College Corps program at Cal Poly where I have gained the opportunity to work with the City of San Luis Obispo to do meaningful work in sustainability, natural resources, and climate action planning. I have recently worked on a variety of projects including habitat restoration permitting, implementing SLO's Climate Action Plan, and drafting Baseline Conditions Reports for open space easements.I am also an executive member of the Garden Club at Cal Poly SLO and help run Farm Days at the student experimental farm on campus. There, I get to experiment with regenerative and organic agriculture while also creating plans that map out different areas and activities on the farm that will maximize the potential of the space.Additionally, I am a member of the Associated Students in Planning club at Cal Poly. In this space, I aim to learn more about how to develop professionally as a planner and network with my peers, other cohorts, and faculty. Within the club, I am involved in the mentor/mentee program where I have a mentor, and am currently a mentor to a younger city planning student.
