Twenty-five years of progressive responsibility in catering/convention services and other hotel management positions as well as receipt of regional and national awards. Responsibilities have included comprehensive event services for convention groups, budgets & payroll management, forecasting, menu development, creation of relationships with vendors, agencies & support businesses, staff scheduling, assurance of regulation & licensure compliance, and marketing of catering services. Twice have been involved in opening (or reopening) a property, including the pre-opening tasks of policy development, goal setting and staff hiring and training. Management experience has included involvement in committees with all other operational and sales areas for resort and business properties. Event coordination ranges from wedding coordination and special event oversight to high tech sales presentations and trade shows. Awards include being named corporation’s outstanding catering/convention services manager for the Hyatt Corporation, 2000, and several regional corporate recognitions.
