Motorola was one of the most innovative engineering companies at the time and was an amazing training ground. I had the opportunity to dig deep into the foundational wireless technologies and worked on paging, cellular, and TCP/IP protocol stacks. I used some of the most sophisticated wireless lab equipment and developed world class telecommunications software for GSM and IP networks.
