Manager Of Food Recovery Programs
CurrentBuilding and maintaining relationships with potential and currentfood donors, overseeing logistics for food recovery operations, and ensuring the efficientallocation of resources to serve the community in the fight against food insecurity.Food Recovery and Collection:● Identify and establish relationships with food donors, including grocery stores, farms,gleaning organizations, restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, and food manufacturers;● Manage current relationships with key collaborators including food donors, food banks,pantries, and other food rescue organizations● Oversee logistics coordination for roughly 400 bulk recovery transports annually as wellas manage potential and existing cold storage projects● Manage relationships with transportation companies, specifically focusing on companiesthat provide paid transportation for the program● Travel to conferences to network and speak on behalf of the organizationBudget Management:● Maintain expense documentation and reports on purchases and needs to supportoperational goals● Frequently review transportation options and explore additional resources to reduceprogram costs● Communicate the program’s financial needs to the leadership and development teams tosecure grants and funding to support the program’s growthReporting and Analysis:● Ensure all records are in Salesforce and are kept up-to-date● Generate regular reports on food recovery activities, including quantity of itemscollected, distribution points, and impact metrics;● Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the recovery process;● Interview stakeholders to capture testimonials and share impact stories● Participate in calls with funders to highlight this program’s impactHuman Resource Management● Manage two Food Recovery Specialists, who coordinate the logistics of the foodrecovery transports, along with seasonal interns● Participate in the hiring, training, and professional development of the team
