About Kranthi Kumar Boina

I’m a Naval Architect with 10+ years of experience in Survey of New Construction & Existing Vessels, Ship Building, Ship Design, Modelling (CAD/CAM). I have worked on various projects pertaining to Survey of Existing vessels and New Construction projects, Ship Design, Tendering Process, Hull & Hull Out-fit Modelling, Ship Construction & Planning of Production Schedules and have been recognized with several awards during my career.Currently working as a Surveyor-I focused on Surveying of Existing and New Construction Vessels from Keel laying to the Ship Delivery indulging Machinery & Electrical - Safety Checks & Trials. In this role I'm responsible to carry out various inspections for the jobs related to New Construction of Ships, Marine Component Testing and other miscellaneous inspections related to marine field. Prior to this I was working in Garden Reach Ship Building & Engineers as an Asst. Manager where I was involved in executing Hull & Hull Out-fit jobs of Navy vessels and involve in problems related to fabrication and coordinating with the engineering groups to carry out study of feasibility for on-time completion with effective utilization of resources. Earlier to this company I worked in Hexagon Capability Center as a Senior Software Analyst where I was involved in job assisting shipyard clients like SHI, Keppel and SKDY etc. in solving their modelling issues related to software Smart Marine-3D. Had a sound knowledge in CAD/CAM software and their advantage and uses to marine industries. Worked as back-end as well as end user for this software. Started my career in Bharati Shipyard Limited as a Trainee Engineer where I was mainly involved in Basic Design of Tugs, Barges and doing basic structural calculations and as well project estimation required to accomplish the project.I’m always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
