At Uplift Family Services, I was the first person in my training group to have the ability to successfully facilitate both a Child and Family Team Meeting and an Emancipation Conference. I have gone to numerous outside trainings with Sacramento CPS which has broadened my understanding toward children with trauma, and children within the foster care system. Within the position I have proven my ability to facilitate and navigate a productive discussion for children and their families. Given the structure of these meetings, I have aided the team in developing a shared vision and goals in an effort to help children find permanency. In addition, I have ensured that all voices are heard within the meeting, and use de-escalation tools to aid the team in remaining on task.

Throughout my time at Maxim Health Care I had the opportunity to work with several clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I worked one on one in a home setting, and also worked in a classroom setting through the PALS program. In my position I worked directly with clients and as a result was responsible for observing behavior, collecting data and measuring clients success. Throughout a three month period I aided a client in mastering 200+ targets, and implemented several goals through Applied Behavior Analysis.

I was employed through Victor Treatment Center, a Level 14 group home for almost two years, but put in my two week notice when relocating to Sacramento. Throughout my time at Victor Treatment Center I became the 'lead staff' within the home. I aided my supervisor in training new employees, and implemented new ideas to help clinicians add to their behavioral plans. I learned de-escalation tactics to support emotionally disturbed clients in returning to their baseline behavior. I supported these individuals through goal setting, building trust, and helping to prompt and develop coping skills. I supported clients through counseling, and demonstrated the ability to use crisis intervention through a trauma informed lens.
