I am licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Arizona. Ms. Davis has worked as an education attorney in Arizona and North Carolina for 12+ years. Prior to completing her legal education, Ms. Davis worked as a school psychologist for 12 years in both Arizona and Washington State. Ms. Davis also owned her own business providing assessments and advocacy to both school-aged children and adults in post-secondary educational institutions. Ms. Davis focuses her law practice primarily in the area of education law, representing and advising local boards of education and staff. In her practice, Ms. Davis provides daily advice and assistance to school districts on a broad range of matters including, but not limited to, disability law matters, such as special education, due process hearings, Office of Civil Rights (“OCR”) complaints; student discipline; personnel issues; Governing Board liability; open meeting laws; public records issues; and employment law matters. Ms. Davis has both attended and presented at several conferences on special education matters, student discipline, and hot topics in education law.
