As a mechanical and construction engineer, my key responsibilities involved the design, fabrication, quality assurance and installation of large-scale water projects.My on-site activities involved the management of large teams, project planning and scheduling, optimising designs for site conditions, and managing vendors and sub-contractors.

At Alfa Laval, I served as a sales, maintenance and construction engineer for high-speed separation equipment and heat exchangers.The industries I was responsible for were ethanol, alcohol, food and sugar production, and mining & minerals processing.

As a mechanical engineer, I was involved in feasibility studies, design, specification, project management and installation of industrial piping systems for mines and process plants around Africa. I used tools such as AutoCAD, AFT Fathom and Intergraph Caesar.
