Maintain and conduct records and assessments of 480+ veteran students used to determine services needed.Advise on education programs and refer veterans to support services as merited, including but not limited to financial aid, counseling services, academic support, county and federal services.Responsible for the day-to-day case management and coordination of veteran student records with college departments and staffing personnel to ensure accurate and timely processing of information, while maintaining compliance with State and Federal educational policies, directives, and processes. Advise veterans, military personnel and their family members on educational benefits and services.Resolve students’ problems and manage the department exercising self-discretionary power in order to achieve desired results. Provide customer service; identify veteran student needs while promoting benefits and services.Develop and maintain community relationships with veteran organizations, local military branches, support service providers, university administration, faculty, and staff. Make contact with community leaders, employers, labor unions, training programs, service, and veterans’ organizations to promote veteran educational opportunities.Hire, train, and supervise VA work study students.Work with student veterans in individual and group settings investigating and resolving issues involving student account discrepancies, benefits delivery, and explanation, while exploring solutions of different problems affecting the services, efficiency, and productivity of student veteran services.Advise student organization NDSU American Legion Post #400.Collaborate with military and community organizations as well as departments in Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Finance and Administration, and Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach for various military programming on campus.

Taught one section of Math 102 College Algebra and incorporated problem-solving skills.Administered exams and graded homework and tests in a consistent manner. Developed lesson plans while following curriculum as determined by the department. Upheld department and University policies.
