Helping the Myriota team build new business for their global expansion in the Satellite IoT / IIoT market based on their LEO constellation, ground stations and two-way secure communications. Designed for asset monitoring and control, tracking and business insight from anywhere on the planet.

Overview and management of projects as well as starting in March 2017 taking over the Customer Care team and renaming to Customer Relations.One of Globalstar's main focus area is on the customer and providing them the best support.

As VP I reported directly to CEO & President of the company as well as working directly with the Chairman of the Board on special projects.My responsibilities included general marketing, branding, attending tradeshows, continuing to manage the Product/Project Management group for new and existing products, new product ideas and services, business development with vendors, airtime suppliers as well as new and existing customers.I have been directly involved with several launches in the last two years in this role, the new Globe i500 which is the most advanced FB500 terminal on the market. Other product launches have been a VOIP solution for the i250/i500 on both the Inmarsat Fleet Broadband network and VSAT networks. The solution allowed for multiple voice calls over both networks both outbound and inbound using local in country DID numbers. I also launched our crew web browsing solution aimed at increasing crew usage on-board the vessels but more importantly from a corporate perspective increasing revenue and margins significantly. On the marketing side I worked with my team to rebrand the brochures, posters, ads to be more modern and a consistent look to identify as Globe. I also worked on changing our corporate image from one of HF with E&E satellite services to one of Fleet Broadband and VSAT. I worked extremely closely with our global sales team to ensure that they had a voice for products and services. This included monthly open calls with all the sales offices, training on new products and meeting customers directly as needed.

In the Director position I would report directly to the VP of Marketing. I managed the day to day functions of the Product Management group as well directly responsible for key projects. I would also work on special projects for the CEO directly as needed.Three key projects that I worked on from inception to launch and continued with the life cycle are GlobeMobile, GlobeVOIP and GlobeLocator Gold.GlobeMobile is now the world’s largest true GSM solution for maritime. This by far was the most complex solution that I have worked on at Globe, understanding GSM technology, the GSM interconnect companies, routing calls, being able to buy phone numbers in large blocks, pricing structure for over 18,000 country and in country dial codes and having a full pre-paid platform solution.When Globe first launched our VSAT solution I worked on the GlobeVOIP project to enable free calls from the customer’s offices to ships and vice versa as well as a complete pre-paid solution for crew. GlobeVOIP is now standard on every VSAT vessel with high crew usage. This was built and designed from scratch working with several 3rd parties for hardware, carrier VOIP solutions and termination partners for the shore calls.GlobeLocator Gold used our HF network and later the FB terminals to read GPS data and show real time tracking of vessels embedded on Nautical charts that included weather forecasts.

After proving to be able to roll out a new large number of European customers during my year in Holland I was brought over to expand and improve the general Customer Support Department. Support hours were 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. US west coast time. With most of our customers overseas this was not going to be a viable solution. Customer Support was moved in the space of three month to Florida with a team of 12 people and working 24 hours 7 days per week. This allowed Globe to greatly speed up our response time to customers, vessels and other offices. As products and applications expanded I introduced a tracking system. During this time Globe Wireless purchased Marinet Systems to incorporate their staff and Satellite system software. We then changed our support cover so that one third of the support was out of England and two thirds out of the US.My responsibilities also covered rolling out new applications and ensuring that all procedures were followed. Working with other internal departments to accomplish this was critical and gave me the insight into how most of the organization was managed and work involved.

I started in the Holland office and was set to support all of North Europe which required extensive travelling. Countries covered were UK, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Norway and Germany. Although primarily I was concentrating on supporting customers, for the first three months there were no local sales people so I doubled up as a local sales representative with support from a sales person from the US.
