Pre-Sales Technical Architect
Specializing in hosted virtual solution design, maintaining P&L ownership end to end, technology education and product research.• Providing pre-sales support for the Sales Team, responding to resource requests and working with them to win business. Ensuring the Sales Team feel supported (on qualified opportunities) in their bid for orders and success.• Working closely with Sales Managers to explore and exploit opportunities with customers for added value business.• Working with Product Managers/Technical Directors to develop/sustain up-to-date product strategies for the Managed Hosting unit.• Technically and commercially qualifying new business opportunities, developing a detailed understanding of customer’s requirements and drivers.• Producing high-level design and sales proposal documents for managed hosting opportunities in line with customer requirements, budget, the existing products and expertise available within the business.• Working closely with the implementation, support and project management teams to ensure that the high-level designs produced for managed hosting opportunities are functionally accurate and deliverable. • Actively leading the recommendations, proposals and presentations of both the technical and commercial aspects of the proposed solution to the customer.• Delivering high standard of documentation is a key function of this role. Key documents being created are high-level designs, sales proposal/presentation documents and implementation handover documents.• Adhering to business processes and documentation standards in order to control outputs to customers and maintain management information systems.
