About Kripa Kewalramani
My family in Asia has been in the textile industry for the past 60 years, so it was natural that I developed a passion for textiles. I spent many years working in the industry before moving to New York a decade ago. I lived in India, Indonesia and Singapore from where I have derived inspiration for my work.I enjoy designing print, woven and embroidery. My design strengths are woven structures and hand painting. My experience and interests also lie in museums and its collections. I have interned in curatorial departments and I enjoy researching into an art object's history.
