About Krista Rannikko
I am a support practitioner working in 24h-staffed supported accommodation and experienced in working with adults with complex mental health needs (schizophrenia, personality disorders, mild learning disabilities, behaviour that challenges), and history with addiction, involvement with the criminal justice system, long-term hospitalisation and homelessness. My practice is trauma-informed, person-centred, strengths-based and outcome-focused, and informed by my educational background in Contemporary Drug and Alcohol Studies (MSc) and Psychology (BSc), and my continued interest in counselling skills and theory. I strive to remain up-to-date in current research and industry-standards, to ensure I provide the best support for our residents and my team. I aspire to build a robust and varied skillset and work toward a career in counselling, and am looking to be certified in CBT and first aid in the future.
