About Kris Barbier

Hello! I am an aspiring data scientist, who just completed a rigorous bootcamp with Coding Dojo. I have experience analyzing data using different Python frameworks and SQL, and have developed my data visualization skills using Python and Tableau.Before I got started in data science, I worked as an educator for 6 years. In those 6 years, I mainly taught music, but also developed a healthy curiosity about data when I led the efforts of a state-wide personnel development grant in Colorado. Within this grant, data-based decision-making was a core pillar of the work, and cemented my belief that data truly can, and should be used, to better the educational space for all students, staff, and their families. This led me to dive into the world of data science and enroll in Coding Dojo’s Data Science bootcamp, where I deepened this core belief.
