Elected President of the Management Committee of WCP Inc., a NFP with 90 3-5 year old children > Management of 12 staff including the Director/Nominated Supervisor> Ensuring regulatory compliance to ACEQA> Lead the Management Committee to ensure the prudent financial, operational management, full enrolment and ongoing sustainability. This role is challenging in amongst an unprecedented time for Early Childhood. I ensured the Preschool adapted to these challenges. WCP is unique, a true NFP, without head office infrastructure, and operating as a Preschool within the LDC funding model. Role duties include:> Committee/Board's delegated authority, includes the completion and lodgement of necessary forms of the regulatory authorities>Lead the Preschool's vision, mission and achievement of organisational goals>Chair AGM/Committee Meetings of the Preschool> Act as a spokesperson for the Preschool to media, government and agencies as required> Liaise with the Director to ensure Committee decisions are carried out effectively and efficiently> Coordinate Director's performance appraisal> Work with the Treasurer, Director to prepare annual budget> Ensure Preschool is compliant with statutory requirementsAchievements include:> Lead a significant capital upgrade (circa $100k) to the outdoor area> Design and implement Philosophy and Values > Conduct Strategic Planning to ensure external change readiness and ensure strong market differentiation > Review, update and create relevant HR Policies and Procedures> Refined and updated the performance review & goal setting process > Lead all AQUEA Compliance activities in conjunction with the Director> Manage all HR operations in conjunction with the Director, ensuring no risk and strong staff engagement>Lead all fundraising and social activities for the Preschool (including Annual Fundraising Parent's Trivia Night) > Review premises in line with License Agreement framework to local City Council
