I remember thinking “What is Woo as a strength?”, and then as I read through the assessment of my top five strengths, I was impressed that it had pinpointed who I am with so much accuracy. I am a people-oriented individual and Winning Others Over (Woo) does, in part, describe me! In my experience as a sales executive and as a leader, this quality has proven to be valuable. I possess both strong influencing and executing strengths which makes for a unique and powerful combination. As a leader, I’ve been able to successfully accomplish goals and inspire others to join me in the process. When I accept responsibility for any role, I am committed. With an all-in commitment to hockey over the years, I have taken the initiative to produce comprehensive communication, coordinate and manage efforts which would yield maximum productivity, problem-solve, and lead by example, always with a positive disposition. This commitment led to an awesome opportunity to be an integral part of planning Hockey Day Minnesota- Bemidji 2019. I was able to secure 500 volunteers for this three-day event, partly due to delivering numerous presentations that generated interest and enthusiasm. I contributed to the achievement of record-high attendance despite record-setting cold temperatures for this iconic outdoor event hosted by Fox Sports North and the Minnesota Wild. Establishing wow-factors for this event, as well as other events, has always been a priority for me too. I derive a great deal of satisfaction from connecting with people as well as making connections happen for others. I have coordinated three-day family reunions for 100-150 people (and multiple small gatherings) which required surveying interests, researching venue options, developing a budget, and effective communication with great attention to detail.I have a leadership philosophy and like to make things happen. Ask me about my “40 things!” I would both enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to share with you!
