I function as the Quality Improvement Manager (QIM), in the Division Director’s Office. As the QIM I am responsible for collecting, analyzing, and communicating contracted providers’ outcomes and metrics. This includes gathering information from Client Report Forms, grant reports, e-referral data, contract performance reports, and information from the licensing/quality team. l also work to aggregate these cross-divisional data sources to build detailed reports and develop plans for service delivery partners. I assist the Director in leading strategic efforts to make data-driven decisions regarding provider engagement, spending priorities, and the system of care.

Oversee a 16 person department that supports the data needs of Administrative leaders of DSAMH. There are three areas that I currently oversee: Data/Data Resources, EMR and Informatics, Provider Relations and Training. Our work supports grants, contracts, and fiscal compliance and short, medium and long term planning activity. Additionally, the Department supports the continuous roll out of technological tools to leverage limited resources to address the needs of the behavioral health system.

I led a team of 5 individuals of varying experience and skill levels that sought to drive improvement in the quality of care we provide our clients, by structuring interventions that are based on industry best practices. Responsible for the organization's incident reporting process and performance improvement activity. Successfully completed preparation for the Hospital’s triennial survey by The Joint Commission. The results demonstrated that the Hospital has maintained or improved on the quality of care we provide and our accreditation was reaffirmed for another 3 years

Responsible for helping organization maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulatory standards. Initiated and completed the standardization of reporting across the Hospital's performance improvement unit to allow more accurate bench-marking and internal tracking of trends. Initiated the roll-out of Data Dashboards that would allow the Executive Team access to a wealth of information about performance measure that are relevant to each discipline.

Track performance measures that are based on industry best practices surrounding patient care. Assist various management teams with performance improvement projects. Prepare the organization for The Joint Commission accreditation through continuous improvement methodologies and a constant survey readiness stance.

Worked on a report to determine how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and subsequent regulation will affect the operations of the organization.Analyzing demographic and client data that will be used to direct future outreach efforts and resource allocation.

Prepared report for Director on mold regulations, policies and guidelines of States for future action by the department.
