Degree Completion - BS Emergency Management / Homeland Security

Serves as a Power Station Sergeant for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers only active duty Battalion; performs duties as a First Sergeant when deployed; responsible for the morale, welfare and professional development of all the Power Station personnel; plans and resources all training, assists in construction planning, scheduling, material estimating, preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures; coordinates and supervises the deployment, installation, operation, maintenance of electrical power plants, distribution and fuel delivery systems in support of the Warfighter overseas contingency operations and the National Response Framework disaster relief; monitors the accountability of $10,000,000 in systems and equipment.

First Sergeant / Senior Operations Manager for both the U.S. Army Prime Power School (USAPPS) and Prime Power Advanced Leader Course (ALC); senior advisor to the USAPPS Commander; monitors, evaluates, and enforces training standards; responsible for the management of military cadre and student personnel assigned to the USAPPS; manages physical readiness, military personnel actions, performance evaluations, and the well-being of all assigned military and civilian personnel; voting member of all the organization’s staff boards; assists in managing the maintenance program for $10,000,000 worth of equipment to include an operational budget of $3.7M.

Primary Senior NCO responsible for two Prime Power Sections, performing duties the same as a First Sergeant when deployed; responsible for the morale, welfare and professional development of 18 Soldiers; plans and resources all training, assists in construction planning, scheduling, material estimating, preparation of operation orders, standing operating procedures; coordinates and supervises the deployment, installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical power plants, distribution, and fuel delivery systems in support of the warfighter and the National Response Framework disaster relief operations; supervises the accountability of over $10,000,000 worth of systems and equipment.

Plans, develops, and monitors Engineer projects pertaining to utility grade and back-up power generation systems for all of the Multinational Forces and Observers (MFO) areas of operations; provides technical assistance, expertise, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) for matters pertaining to utility grade and power-generated electrical power; coordinates the efforts of support contractor including supervision of external maintenance and electrical construction contractors; provides technical assistance and expertise to electrical power procurement matters, collects, analyzes and interprets electrical data for all MFO electrical projects; responsible for over $1,000,000 worth of projects and equipment.
