I am passionate about helping military members transition to civilian life and find meaningful careers. As the MSNG Employment Director, I oversee the development and implementation of programs and policies that support Mississippi National Guard service members' and their families' employment and training needs. I also collaborate with external partners, such as business', educational institutions, and community organizations, to create opportunities and resources for veterans, service members, and their families. My core competencies include communication, grant coordination, employer engagement, and human capital development, and I am pursuing my MBA degree at the University of Southern Mississippi to enhance my skills and knowledge in business administration.Before working with the Mississippi Military Department, I worked as the State Veterans Program Coordinator at the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, coordinating and overseeing the Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program. I also previously worked as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialist, performing professional-level duties in veteran resource outreach, work history assessment, career counseling, training, needs assessment, employment planning, and job placement to veterans. I also assisted veterans in developing resumes, cover letters, and letters of explanation, conducted case management duties, and ensured confidentiality of all personnel records.
