· Work with the Store Manager to drive maximum sales and profitability. · Responsible for > $5 million dollars in inventory. · Manages over 130 employees.· Directly responsible for >$20 million dollars sales plan across multiple departments. · Ensures store inventory meets customer demand by checking merchandise to determine inventory levels.· Conduct interviews for potential new hires.· Train new hires and store staff by reviewing and revising orientation to products and sales training materials; delivering training sessions; reviewing staff job results and learning needs with store manager; developing and implementing new product training.· Write employee performance reviews and help provide career development plans. · Evaluate competition by visiting competing stores; gathering information such as style, quality and prices of competitive merchandise.· Manage the preparation and maintenance of reports necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track daily goal accomplishments.· Review daily performance data that includes sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure departmental productivity and, goal achievement.· Help customers by providing information; answering questions; obtaining merchandise requested; preparing merchandise for delivery.· Attracts customers by originating display ideas and constructing them; following display suggestions or schedules; producing merchandise displays in windows and showcases on sales floor. · Promote sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.· Communicate regularly with other managers, store manager, district manager, and other designated contacts within the organization.· Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
