It was 2011 when I was invited by Scania to set up and integrate an “engines” business unit within the existing truck and bus Benelux organisation. It has been an exciting an creative journey designing an operative unit, from scratch, within an organisation dealing with products that are utterly different and yet sharing as much as possible of the available resources, building all administrative and sales routines, topping this all off by doubling the sales figures and signing off contracts with some major OEM’s.It has been a good exercise, more like power training, for the development of my management, sales, negotiation and peoples skills, working very independently whilst conducting the best team ever.

Stevens was distributor for BeLux for Scania I&M engines and SISU Diesel. Working in a small company with big projects has been both challenging and rewarding, It has been a learning curve to build up a wide experience in all aspects of management. Responsible for sales and project department. Commercial and technical negotiations with suppliers and customers. Responsible for budgeting and price calculations. Design of technical installations such as gensets, pumpsets, drive lines for marine applications and various propulsion projects with diesel and gas engines. Coordination of component purchase, manufacturing and start-up of “engine driven” projects.

Responsible for the after-sales department of KIA cars for the BeLux distributor.. Warranty training and technical support.
