Current- Maintain, manage, coordinate, and ensure quality lab compliance (CAP, FDA, State, Joint Commission, CLIA, CMS) - Work in coordination with several physicians; implemented new testing capabilities- Work with physicians to discuss best testing practices and develop algorithms; Responsible for conducting laboratory investigations as necessary- Review the test menu to ensure appropriate testing as well as most cost-effective implementation- Secured contracts with various clients including government and private physician offices- Worked with homeland security and FBI to successfully remove radioactive material and transition irradiated blood products a new method- Supervise and manage 165+ associates across six facilities - improve efficiency and integration- Manage and build an effective team– maintain high level of associate engagement as well as ensure successful conflict resolution - Implemented new training program for associates- Introduced automated specimen processing- Implemented change operations and modified existing models resulting in overall realized cost savings over $500,000 annually - Successfully transitioned and opened a STAT laboratory and separate Core laboratory at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline– from construction to operation review of building codes as well as compliance and regulation codes (Joint Commission, CAP, CLIA)- Successfully opened a new licensed (CAP & CLIA) regional reference laboratory and outpatient lab; involved in planning/preparations, obtaining the licensure and validations- Member of the ED Process team; modified STAT lab processes to lower turnaround times – successfully lowered by 30 min- Member of vital committees including Chest Pain Committee, Sepsis Committee, Regional Compliance Committee, Cancer Committee, CVAT (Clinical Value Analysis), Trauma Committee- Implemented community projects to aid in testing- Conduct emergency management operations – pandemic, hurricanes, other severe weather crises.
