This approach addresses all the components of language (from phonemes to gestures, from grammar to interaction) but also including the biological, cognitive and social factors that influence them.

I am chief scientific officer of www.CogniK.net, a company I co-founded with Vincent Tauzia and Stéphane Reynaud in 2009. CogniK characterizes, personalizes, and recommends multimedia content. Our clients include MTV, Nickelodeon, France TV and Science et Vie Junior. In these contexts (music, education, & news), my research interests focus on how users react to personalization results. I welcome proposals for collaboration in these areas, especially in relation to how acoustic properties of music can lead to particular emotions.

The ICAR research laboratory is characterized by its interdisciplinary work on the multidimensional analysis of language use in human interaction and within text. ICAR had around 65 permanent members from 2007-2010, and had 5 funding umbrella organizations. As Vice Director, I represented the laboratory and communicated on its behalf with various regional and national organisms, managed personnel, participated in budgetary and administrative tasks, and in collaboration with the Director, prepared our laboratory's 4-year evaluation
