I managed a team of 4 committed, detail oriented, vessel utilization coordinators. Our primary goal was to maximize cargo lifting within strict vessel allocations by coordinating with ECD, partners, and sales. In constant contact with customers, terminal operators and trucking companies to ensure smooth loading of cargo. On an individual level, I worked to ensure quick, customer focused, problem resolution. One of my goals was to create and refine procedures that increase efficiency and accuracy. I also reviewed weekly and monthly trends and concerns discovered by the group, and forward to upper management as needed. Reporting tasks included trend tracking, niche market analysis, and billing/cost reconciliation.

• Train and monitor daily functions of utilization coordinators.• Work with sales to ensure smooth integration of new accounts into current vessel allocation• Analyze lifting data to identify customer shipping trends and provide fall down statistics to sales and trade groups.• Review and validate terminal invoices to be processed for payment by A/P department.

• Forecast and control space allocations for local port and intermodal cargoes.• Coordinate with customer accounts and trucking companies in 3 states (Washington, California, New Jersey), to ensure maximum cargo loading over 5 ocean vessel services.• Support sales and VIP groups regarding special requests and key client accommodations.

Managing Import/Export volumes within BSA, Terminal Reporting, Liaising with Vessel Partners, Stevedores, Agents, and Planners. Wharfage and Royalty billing, manage empty volumes, work closely with overseas agents.

• Receive inbound customer inquiries and booking requests for export shipments from USA to Med/Asia.• Maintain open communication with equipment, intermodal, and vessel groups to accurately quote transit times and container availability in order to meet customer needs.• Track and Trace containers from US Inland points to final destination overseas.• Confirm rates and send completed booking confirmations.
