Supporting the DWP Social Research Head of Profession in leading and developing the Social Research community across DWP and GSR in four main areas:1. Vision: Lead on reviewing and developing the DWP GSR Professional Development Strategy to effectively promote the use of Social Research in DWP to agreed milestones so that DWP colleagues have the opportunity to develop a stronger understanding of the business value of social research. 2. Communication: Continuously develop communication channels between the HoP and Social Research community in DWP so that the HoP is fully briefed on emerging social research issues and the social research community is kept fully informed on relevant issues. 3. Governance: Ensure HoP Board arrangements are delivered in a timely and professional manner in monthly meetings throughout the year. 4. Support: Ensuring that Social Researchers in DWP receive the support they require from the HoP by taking forward work designed to improve the quality and consistency of DWP Social Research in addition to supporting the HoP by handling and resolving complaints and queries in a timely fashion.

I delivered a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects, both as a project manager of contracted research and primary researcher, for small ad hoc qualitative research. This work covered the complete research cycle, from initial scoping of research questions and research need, through to the design and delivery of the research to time and quality constraints.
